Think globally and act locally.
Learn another language. Meaning, learn other cultures.
Growing up in a small village made me realize that people are the most important thing in life, but also tthat I need and want to go beyond, "expand my horizons" to new cultures, languages, countries.
Everlasting work in progress!
"But the real way to get happiness is by giving out happiness to other people. Try and leave this world a little better than you found it and when your turn comes to die, you can die happy in feeling that at any rate you have not wasted your time but have done your best. 'Be Prepared' in this way, to live happy and to die happy....." (B.Powell)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was both hosted and I hosted couchsurfers in my home village.
One of the best achievements out of these experiences?! Finally convincing my parents that couchsurfing is cool! Travelling changes life, even if it's not you going out in the world, but you are welcoming the world at your place!
Reading the world through travels.
Listening to stories and meeting people. Listening to people and meeting stories.
Creating a story.
Music, Movies, and Books
The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter are among my favourites, in addition to all North and South American Literature.
I love Borges and the Calvino.
Music is...rock. If I am dreaming, then it's Fabrizio de Andrè, and if I feel "political", Giorgio Gaber.
In my mp3 some music is always present: rock, Pink Floyd, Brazilian music, and last but not least....Muse!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Italy's Coast to Coast....by bicycle.
An amazing journey with one of my best friend, the perfect and unique person to travel with.
Challenge: accepted...and achieved!
