ABOUT ME

Hi! I've lived in Bellingham, WA for many years off and on, with breaks in New York City and Seattle and some extensive travel. I like to travel in the winter because things get a bit bleak up here with the clouds and the short days.  Sun sets at 4:15 in December!  Last year, my partner and I travelled to Bali and returned to Thailand for monsoon adventures! 7 years ago, we spent 5 months exploring Thailand and India. We've been to Mexico and Hawaii several times since then, and hope to tour South America next.  Bellingham has much to offer when the weather cooperates. The Mt Baker ski area is considered by many to be the home of snowboarding. The powder can be unbelievable. 12 inches a day for some stretches.  Mountaineering and hiking in the late summer is unmatched anywhere in the world. Glaciers abound! Spectacular island adventure awaits in the San Juan Islands and Canadian archipelago. I am a former furniture maker who is now semi-retired and enjoy playing as much tennis as my body will let me and hiking as much as possible.  I am planning an 11 day hike inside the Grand Canyon in April.
