About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Going from a couch potato to becoming a globe-trotter :)
ABOUT ME
My name is Dragica (a name hardly pronounced by non-Serbian folks) - you can call me Demi :) I live in Belgrade, Serbia, and am 25 yrs old. I've completed my Master English studies and now I want to put that knowledge to good use and finally visit some wonderful places I've dreamed about my whole life, those that have influenced me and my music the most.
I am a singer in a band called Demist, we play symphonic/power metal, so it would be great if I met some awesome people with the same or similar taste in music; however, I am more than willing to meet the greatest variety of personalities and gain fresh, new, extraordinary experience!
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live.
Be the change you want to see in others - exactly why I'm here.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently, I am a surfer - I would love to host as well, but, living in a small flat, I don't really have the possibility... I would, however, love to show anyone around if they come to Belgrade and want to meet new places and people - though it may not seem so, we have a lot to offer. :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Not much so far - not internationally. But after I visited an acquaintance in Novi Sad and stayed there for the Exit festival this year, I realized it would be even better if I could do it - internationally!
Interests
London, Ireland, Europe in general, USA, exotic places, famous places, obscure nature, local food, underground music, chill-out zones, absolute madness, metal concerts, rave festivals, well... anything and everything, I guess.

Music, Movies, and Books
Metal music, not the harsh kind, though :)
Nightwish, Tarja, Evanescence, Kamelot, Epica, Disturbed, In Flames, Tristania, Korn, Slipknot...
Oh, and Hurts. Hurts forever <3
Psycho Thriller movies - not the gore type, slight horrors so to speak; a good comedy, but no chick-flicks; not much of a fan of SCI-FI either - no LOTR or GOT for me. :)
Books... Older classics. I'm not a purist or elitist, but when it comes to literature, it gets insanely hard to pick a gem amongst the garbage we're being fed with nowadays.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Conquered my fears of rejection, and letting go of constantly taking control of things, I guess. Not much to brag about here; but the sole willingness to dive into something completely new to me is a success in itself, I think.
Teach, Learn, Share
Not really into history, but I would love to learn about cultural heritage, maybe myths and legends...
What can I share? the experience of living in a third-world country :D
In all seriousness, I guess I know a thing or two about music. But that is definitely something I would love to know more about, so it would be perfect I we could exchange our knowledge in that area.
