About Me

Planning is no planning :/.

Caution:) I am talented in getting lost wherever I am, so please don't be surprised, even you give clear instructions. I don't trust maps, and my direction instinct, I trust the lovely pedestrians.

Besides this, I am very normal and average as others.

After the trip to paris and belguim, i dont' know why i am getting bored with travelling, probably because i am too lazy to well-organize a trip. But i will still travel.

I enjoy people in the journey more than the things i see or place i stay.

I travel like Rolf Potts !
You are a travel legend in the making, with a sense of adventure that will lead to hundreds of fascinating stories. Locals all over the world will give you special nicknames, and almost all of them will be complimentary.

erh, my mind is always changing, even myself, I don't know what I want to do. So personal philosophy is kind of blank for me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have heard CS from a HK news and then register to here. Many people are willing to give suggestions and offer you accomodation without asking for return.

I will also answer questions in my group whenever I check and read.

Pitiful that I don't have my own place to host people as I think my life will become more interesting by talking with different people.

Something I wanted to say:

Sincerely speaking, I am very grateful that the hosts who offer me couch as we don't know each other. All we believe is trust. I don't need a nice couch, a nice bed but I need a nice host. What does it mean? it means to respect the others, and respect the females.

maybe it scares you a bit when i say this kind of thing. But I see some people think here is a dating website, and think they offer the couch to the female travellers, and they should have something back. It made me feel very bad for this, since I start searching for couches in western europe. here we can make friends, share cultures and stories, but not for that.

But overall, I met some good friends here and I am really happy when I feel helpless and need advices, these people do not have any hesitation to help me.
Thank you guys~

I tried the surfing finally for my first time in Norway. That night is a very interesting experience. Knowing more of Norewegian culture and people. Met a very nice host, i would say they affected me quite much though I looked very calm (i am not used to stay with foreigners at that time :p ). Umm, feel the spirit of CS, and the generosity of the people who offered us couch with no return or expectation- that's what I have learnt from the lst host and his friends.

Couching: have more money
Surfing: Thx to their generosity

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

the most update is that I got a fine in france for the first time~and i think, when i saw eiffel tower in paris, i just feel touched with no reason.

1. Diving without knowing how to swim
2: travel in Taipei for 10 days with a travel book; meet some interesting people in the street and in the hostel. a horrible experience in the night. strongly feel the power of our belief and religon; knowing some thoughts of some taipei people. met a nice lady in the bookstore and talked in the MTR. being guided by a middle-aged woman and with her overracted dog, feeling warm-hearted by her kind behavior. walk to home for 1 hour for a 'charger' and misled by a 'good-hearted' uncle

3. climb on Taishan without knowing it's so hard! It was snowing! Climbed for 7 hours consecutively for a city person.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am glad that I surfed among CSers after a year registration. I think the couchsurfing experience helps me growth more than ever before. I mean the CS hosts for me. I am still green in hosting and surfing; and so far my No.1, 2, 3 hosts they all treated me very very well. I have learnt different knowledge and experience from the CSers. Everyone is unique and has characteristics. I will say the first thing I learnt is Genorsity. Second is the trust to people. Third is the enthusiasim to people, whoever you are and your nationality. I see different views and experience, and ambition from the CSers. They are very different from the city people I know and everyone has some 'strange' quality . Because of them, I understand the local and culture more. Traveling means more when I stay with the CSers. You learn a lot just by talking and staying with them. I know everyone in the world is not perfect and not all are good. But I just think I become more optismitic at least right now after my trip to Norway with the CSers. The trip will be far less meaningful and less significant without these buddies.

Still I remembered one host said to me,'Whatever problem you meet, just wear a big smile, and people will come to help you'. Yes, I still believe in his words. Truly believe and learning to practise the belief. Ya, go OPTIMISTIC la!
