About Me

Currently studying neuroscience at the University of Queensland. Originally from California and previously lived in New Zealand.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meet interesting people and experience other cultures! Also, to provide hospitality when I can, in hopes it comes full circle (usually it does!)

Interests

I love the outdoors and I usually sleep in my tent while I travel. I also just got my open water and wreck diving licenses and I'm really excited to explore dive sites around Aussie and SE Asia (the state of my bank account permitting).

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- Kind of a classical music nerd (I play the violin/fiddle and sort of play the guitar) but I like all sorts of music

Movies- Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Spirited Away, Up, Lord of the Rings

Books- To Kill a Mockingbird, A Walk in the Woods, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making, The Martian Chronicles, His Dark Materials

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Played traditional violin with a Kayan lady in Myanmar

Teach, Learn, Share

I like learning any language (I can teach you all about biochemistry or how to play the violin in return!)
