I am 20 years old and I'm from a small town near Sioux City, Iowa. Along with being an atheist, I am a progressive independent, with touches of conservative views and libertarian admirations. I am very chill and don't get angry about a lot of things. I have a high compassion and loyalty for friends and family. Despite my accepting nature I do have a twisted sense of humor that you should be aware of.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to see the world and have adventures while I am young. I am very interested in traveling around the United States as well as some day seeing other places. Attending events that my hosts are also attending is a plus. Getting to know them is even better. As much as I would love hosting I still live at home. I have more reasons to stay. Taking care of my grandparents and great grandmother for example.

Interests

I love live music, drawing and poetry, gaming, working outside, hiking, fishing, climbing, watching storms, the stars, and sunsets. I enjoy good views and nature. Any landscape that isn't fields and pastures is enough to get me excited.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music tastes cover most genres in rock and metal, while dipping into pop, country, rap, and under the right conditions, classical and techno. My favorite movies are the ones that really mess you up. Plot twists, surprise endings, and nontypical/controversial movies such as The Mist. I love sci-fi, but I will wander into most anything else. I haven't read a lot of fiction since high school, but I do find myself online reading about just about anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am very happy of what I have become and what I am becoming despite the many paths I could have taken. My family reminds me of this every day. They are very proud of the man I have become, and I am proud of that. Friends keep me close and know I'm always there.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am just getting started in life, so my experiences are limited. But I do offer my friendship. As I said I don't mind getting to know my hosts, so talking and showing me around is great. Sometimes I might be travelling in order to do something specific which may make that harder unless my host is going.
