Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never couchsurfed before, mainly because I've never traveled to any place where I didn't know someone. I am excited to meet people and connect and experience something new.

Interests

I love listening to good music, especially live performances. I read a lot; my favorite book subjects are philosophy/new-age thought and self-improvement. I also read sci-fi once in a while. I like talking about future dreams, about how we are tiny specks in a huge universe, and Family Guy. Hiking is my outdoor activity of choice, but I also like biking and snowboarding.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I've seen in my life was Ha Long Bay in Vietnam. It's a large bay with hundreds (maybe thousands) of caves and islands. On top of one of the islands, after a long 3 hour hike, we were rowed across the unadulterated waters that were completely clear to the bottom. After we rowed through these clear waters, we were led to the top of the mountain where the Buddhist temple was built many years ago. I saw the whole Bay from the top, and even though I am extremely scared of heights, the view was so majestic that I forgot all about that. It changed my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm just now learning how to make websites that make money that will allow me to travel more without having to worry about a location-dependent job. I would love to talk about that.

I can also teach you the art of using chopsticks. I use it in an unconventional way, but it's worked for me since I was a little boy.
