ABOUT ME

I'm an American born an raised but I've studied in Mexico and Argentina so I speak Spanish as well. I'm 20 years old and currently living in Bariloche, Argentina. I always have something to say especially since I learned to speak Spanish. There are very few people who I don't get along with, and even then we do get along by the the common definition.

Interests

Like most people on this site, I love to travel. I like to drop myself into a culture where I don't belong and stay there until I feel like a local just to prove to myself that I can. I like to always be doing something like looking for a cool spot to eat, going out to a bar, or just hang out and talk with cool people. As cliche as it may be, I love to play guitar and mandolin. Life would not be the same without music, especially since that's the only way I know how to make money.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first trip ever out of the country was to study a semester in Mexico my junior year of high school. It was there that I realized what the American stereotype was: fat, greedy, and ignorent. The mere fact that we only call ourselves Americans reflects our view of other countries in the Americas. Obviously this doesn't hold true for all of us, or in my opinion, the majority of us, but that doesn't change the stereotype. Ever since that trip, I've made a point to be the best person I can be to show that Estado Unidences aren't terrible. I've also tried to spread the word that not every country that speaks Spanish eats tacos, but it's one step at a time America.
