To make music in the Bay Area and avoid the clutches of Biggie's Soul-Crusher-Machine
My name is Dylan and I am a 23 year old traveler making my way down the West Coast. I love live music and all sorts of performance art (was recruited by a clown troupe my 3rd day in San Francisco) and have been trading various types of manual labor for room and/or board for the last 8 months. Currently reveling in the endless glory that is the Bay Area music scene, and would love to drag you out to a free show, of which there are dozens a week.
Clown as often as possible. If ifs and buts were lemon drops, we'd all have diabetes. Figured quoting Kipling's "If" would seem pretentious.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My best experience couch surfing was right outside Johnson City Tennessee, in a little town call Watauga. I had befriended the son of a lovely couple there years earlier in a Oklahoma film school, and Mr. and Mrs. Lane made me feel like family for two months. In exchange for their generous accommodations, I helped tend the family's land, laid hardwood flooring, re-tiled the bathroom, and generally made myself useful. I can't properly explain the feeling I left there with, but suffice it to say the experience was a powerful demonstration of the power of an open heart.
