To find a cheese I don't like.
Torontonian moving to Calgary for a four-month work term. I've been luckily to travel throughout Europe, but I've never been to Alberta! Excited for the Stampede and the Rockies.
I'm looking for a place to stay May 1 for 1-3 nights until I land a place to stay for the summer. A lot of people understandably want to meet in-person before subletting.
I really like cooking (have taken some courses), long political conversations and cycling. As a journalist, I'm interested in pretty much anything.
Always seek perspective.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've surfed on a few couches, and introduced about a dozen people to Toronto. I've hosted a handful of friends of friends, often as a last-minute thing.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love documentaries about far-away places, but also comedy films. I'm a sucker for rom-coms.
I listen to a lot of podcasts, both for news and storytelling: This American Life, 99% Invisible, Planet Money, The Current, The Moth.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Jumping into the frigid Baltic Sea butt-naked (and tipsy) straight from the sauna.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've worked in media for five years now and have studied Europe extensively. I'm really good at telling stories and understanding political events across Europe. More practically, I make a mean French onion soup and know a few kitchen tricks.

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Moldova, Morocco, Norway, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
