i am looking for a simple way of life

ABOUT ME

I am 23 years old and grew up in newport beach, ca. i love my home town but i dont want to settle into a full time (im procrastinating) job without seeing this beautiful world and all it has to offer. i am very social and can make friends with anyone any where i go. i am a very laid back person, not high strung at all. I enjoy traveling (of course) and need very little when i am doing it. i take my tent and bag where ever i go just in case i cant find a hostel or a couch to crash on. I love the outdoors and go crazy when im inside for too long. i have many hobbies including surfing, snowboarding, skating and soccer. but that is just the tip of the iceberg.... hope to meet you any many others on my journey

PHILOSOPHY

tough question! I believe that in order for one to truely be happy they must expirence everything they can. i also believe that happyness can not be bought! money is somewhat important but is nowhere near as import as life experience. I believe that edjucation is key in life but is not nesserily tought in a classroom (as you can tell from my horrible spelling lol) this question cannot be answered in one page of text so hopefully if we meet we can exchange thoughts

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well i am new to this couch surfing thing but have only heard great things about it. I am mostly trying it to meet new people on my travels. not so much for places to stay, but if i get along with someone and they have a couch they are willing to lend me then im always down to save a buck or two (who isnt)

Interests

i love to surf! something about being in the water alone with nature has always inticed me. i love the relationship one has with the raw power of the ocean. it is a very humbling and almost religious thing. I am very active and have tried almost every sport in my lifetime. i really enjoy soccer (or football) and am currently helping coach a high school team here in bulgaria. I am also very passionate about traveling. In my opinion the only way to know who you really are is to put yourself out of your element. it forces you to show your true colors as a human being. i also think that traveling is a neccesity in life. how can you decide you want to spend your whole life in one place when there is so much out there! i encourage everyone i meet to join me in my journeys!

I love to read! not fantisy or sci-fi but about ones personal thoughts and experiences even if i dont agree with what is being said it still fasinates me to learn how other people think

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

so many things and so little time! well i almost past in a car accident a few years back and it absolutely changed my way of thinking. it is part of who i am now and am very proud to say i walked away a better person
