My mission is always to be around friendly people and to make the world a little brighter oh and to enjoy life and have fun.

ABOUT ME

I'm an artist. Respectful of everyone I met. Can make friends on an airplane (actually keep in contact with a few) Easy going, easy to get along with. Very mellow in demeanor.

I'm a jeans and a t-shirt kinda gal.
I prefer dive bars to dance clubs.
I prefer mini-golf to real golf.
I love the west coast and it's laid back style.
I'm more artistic than I know what to do with. I love to create things. I paint, I take photos.
My family means a great deal to me. I just became an aunt, and I love every minute I get to spend with my niece.
When I can, I greatly enjoy the outdoors. Kayaking, Beach volleyball, co-ed softball...
I think everyone deserves to be happy, and I like to believe in the good in people.

PHILOSOPHY

I think everyone has something to contribute to the world, and just because someone has different beliefs, doesn't mean their beliefs are any less valid. Live and let live. Appreciate all life has to offer and enjoy the little things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Currently have only surfed with friends and had friends of friends surf my couches. Excited to see what this opportunity brings.
The most entertaining occurred when a friend asked if i could host one of her international camp counselors who was traveling the states after camp. It was quite an adventure having this danish lad stay for a while on my couch. It included a trip to the ER after he mistakenly insulted someone while outside a bar and managed to break a few toes. Needless to say, he stayed on my couch a little longer than expected. Oh the adventures of life!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy reading good books. I recently read the Gillian Flynn books and enjoyed them. Will probably also see the movie versions though I know the books are always better. When I find an author I really like, I have been known to read all his/her books.
I love cheesy chick flicks, though I also enjoy cerebral movies and most in between. I'm a wimp when it comes to horror flicks though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have had the privilege of being born to adventurous parents, from winters on Mexico beaches as a child, to growing up in northern New Mexico. Hiking down the grand canyon to driving through the massive redwoods of northern California. Snorkeling the Florida Keys, and Kayaking the wild and scenic rivers. Most recently I go to hike the box canyon at the Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu and see first hand the amazing and beauty of the landscape that inspired Georgia O'keeffe in her latter years. Breathtaking views!
