CURRENT MISSION

I just keep hoping that what I'm doing is what I'm supposed to be doing.

ABOUT ME

I am 24 years old, wondering if I will ever feel older than 20. I am petite and "young-looking" so this never helps. I am currently a student (and have been a professional one for the duration of my adult life), so this is also not helping my situation.

But one day I will be all grown up, teaching English! I hope to teach English in the United States. Having done volunteer interpreting for non-profit health clinics here, and in working with ELL children, I have seen the daily struggle of the immigrant and how language compounds the culture shock and transitional bumps that are inevitable.

I hope that for a time of my life I can teach English in Japan. I have never been there, but from the Japanese people I've met, and the toys/gadgets I've bought offline that are postmarked "Japan," I think I need to go. My dream is to teach English and my boyfriend can sell Pokemon cards (trust me, it's not just for kids these days!). That would be amazing.

All-encompassing statement about me: I love sarcasm, new experiences and positive people. I think that says it all.
