ABOUT ME

My name is Eric and I'm a regular Canadian who likes hockey and loves to travel. I've been all over the world and I really enjoy checking out places that often aren't at the top of most people's lists. I travel at every chance I get including a 4 day getaway to Russia during a week off from school.

PHILOSOPHY

Like what you do and do it well. Why waste all your time in a job you hate if you come home upset everyday. Find a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined the community after hearing a lot of positive things about it and haven't used it too extensively but did meet some surfers in Scandinavia for a night out. I cannot host at the moment but I am more than willing to help people out with tips or advice about my country and can be especially helpful about cities I've lived in (Ottawa, Montreal, London, Windsor).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met up with some people in Iceland and Sweden for a night out. They were really friendly people, as many travellers usually are.

Interests

I love taking pictures, making videos and talking about all things travel related. I'm Canadian so I obviously love hockey and would very much like to play some outdoor hockey in Russia or Sweden. I also enjoy skiing, rock climbing as well as any other outdoor sport. I'm also particularly fond of writing and learning languages. Next on the list to learn is Russian or Mandarin.

I have an exceptionally large appetite for movies and currently have a collection of over 800.

I'm a big fan of Music from the 40's but will generally enjoy any music as long as it's not heavy metal or anything.

I generally don't read as many books as I'd like to but I've always loved writing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I planned and went on a four month trip that spanned 4 continents and 30 countries in the middle of winter. It was pretty cool.
