I'm honest and open hearted. That's the first thing that popped into my mind under the "All about me" heading. I like people and I like to do things for people.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, right now I'm learning about the network. Just posted my first request--in search of a couch while visiting a sick relative. Plan to do some pleasure traveling--combining camping with couch-surfing.

Me,none yet. I do have one close friend who's used CouchSurfing while traveling.

I'm a person of many interests. I'm VERY committed to doing hot room yoga twice a week at least (Google Hotcore Yoga). I meditate and spend a lot of time consciously growing and improving myself. Much more I could add--later. I sing in two local community choruses, and love that. I've sung in choirs or choruses for 60 years! Yes, I'm that old. You're not an "agist", are you?

I've recently come out as an artists, so I'm glad I live in Gloucester, Massachusetts, which is an open an affirming community for artists of all ages! It's an island. I love it. I'm loving life.

Well, the list is wildly varied--music of ALL kinds, probably dominated by classical, jazz, & folk, but I'm not adverse to the occasional face-smashing rock.

Books? A few years ago I was binge-reading biographies of U.S. Presidents lately--Lincoln, FDR, Truman, Eisenhower--fascinating. On the other hand I've also read all 7 Harry Potters at least 4 times. I love fantasy! Geraldine Brooks and Barbara Kingsolver have recently delighted me. Occasionally I pick up one of the real classics, Crime & Punishment, Wuthering Heights--no easier to read than in college! Pride and Predjudice I just LOVED!

I delivered a baby once. Not much can top that. I also held an adult son's hand as he died. And I've raised kids, been a great husband, loved and been loved--always amazing.

I was a public school teacher for a dozen years, before I became a computer applications manager, and have continued teaching in some way ever since. My current self-teaching adventure is to learn how to do websites--starting with WordPress. I hope to make that a paying more-than-a-hobby endeavor.

During 7 of my years a public school teacher I taught Latin in high school. What fun it was working with smart kids who were taking something electively!
