ABOUT ME

I'm from Estonia. I moved to UK when I was 18 to study, and now I am a graduate from Aberystwyth University. I studied Scenography&Theatre Design. Which sounds much fancier then it is. It basically means I like theatre. But not the being on stage bit. I like to hide in the shadows of the backstage world.

I cherish my alone time, but time to time I don't really mind people.
I get ridiculously excited about adorable animals - cats, dogs, hedgehogs, giraffes.
I won't run away when I see a spider.

I will probably make noises at you when languages just fail.

I like vanilla soy milk and anything matcha-themed.

I usually carry a book with me..(and then complain about the weight...)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I moved to Bristol, UK, where I currently live, I couched surfed for a few days before I could move into my current home. It was wonderful, and although I was running around and trying to sort silly paperwork to get settled in a new city, I had a few moments to enjoy with my hostess who was very understanding and patient!

Interests

Theatre! In it's all different types. From serious dramas to musicals and pantomimes (okay, maybe not pantomimes...) to physical theatre and happenings.

I also used to be quite passionate about photography, but with a very busy day to day life, it has become rather a luxury to have a camera on me. That said - whilst travelling I definitely will have a camera on me, and trying to capture life's little moments.

From time to time I geek over sciences, and then realise...It's way beyond my understanding (unless someone takes the time to explain..)

I love to listen so if you're excited to talk about something I'd be as excited as you to listen about that something.

Music, Movies, and Books

I prefer books over movies.
I really enjoy reading. A few of my favourites are Harry Potter books, The Book Thief, The Master and Margarita, most Haruki Murakami books, Sherlock Holmes books, Neil Gaiman's books, Samuel Beckett's plays just to mention a few.

I really enjoy films and TV shows too, but if I'm watching them alone I seem to lose attention quite often.. In films and TV shows I don't look for just a great plot, but I often tend to focus on cinematography and interesting shots or interesting use of lighting. Some of my favourite Tv shows are: Sherlock, House MD, all sorts of crime scene TV shows (CSI, Monk, NCIS etc)..
As for films I tend to like most of the films I see, so it's extremely hard to choose favourites.

My music taste is also all over the place. In my iTunes I have anything from classical music (Beethoven, Bach etc) to weird Japanese noise.
But I usually listen to music I can sing with. I also love harmonies and interesting rhythms (I have a few songs where my favourite part of the song is actually an extremely cleverly positioned pause)
