ABOUT ME

Edson Ferreira, a keen advocate of marine recreation, is the owner and founder of Ocean Adventures. While travelling in search of a world class marine adventure destination, Edson soon realised the amazing potential of New Zealand’s perfect, uncrowded surf and concluded that it was also a true world class fishing destination of huge game fish.
He decided to share his experience with others and the idea of Ocean Adventures was born.

Originally from Brazil, Edson has been living the dream in New Zealand for the last 11 years. As a dedicated surfer and fishing guru of over 20 years, Edson has made New Zealand his home.

Edson’s passion for surfing and chasing massive game fish lead him to explore a vast number of destinations throughout the South Pacific. These include Vanuatu, Samoa and the many islands scattered throughout Indonesia, as well as exotic fishing locations around Thailand, Brazil, South America and Europe. During an unforgettable trip to New Zealand, Edson got hooked!
