About Me

Curious, open minded, sense of humour, smiling a lot ;)
I like to travel, meet people and discover new cultures.
I also like sports and food !

And in a desorder : I like red, plants and flowers, sneakers, bubbles, feather, stars, clouds, design, industrial wasteland, blueberries, raisin bread ("Schneck" ^^), carrots and well carrot cake too, ducks and dogs, Batman, all 4 seasons ....

I work in a University/State Research Laboratoy as "chargée d'aide au pilotage" which I don't know how to translate :/
(well = I'm part of the managment and help the Director to manage the place (more than 600 people). We're 2 people with this kind of position. + the boss also have 2 managment assistants for daily/operational help
Busy, busy ;) but I keep it funny )

I love biking (in Strasbourg U can do everything by bike, just rent or hire one when U come), running (when I run sometimes near my job at noon break in the forest I can meet deer, squirrel or rabbits ^^).
I do Swedish Fit too... And well tried already a lot's of sports.
Just as a lots of other kind of activities. I prefer to try new things to make my opinion on them and be able to say "I like it" or not. I'm "good at it" or not ^^'

I like cooking food. But good food. I mean regarding taste, but also quality of it (healthy or local/organic way)
I'm not vegetarian or vegan but eat a lot of veggies and fruits, and try to cook less meat (even if I still really enjoy it ... especially in good restaurant) .... I really enjoy real mexican or italian food ...

I like dancing ... And musics... I can feel it. I makes me happy... I love electronic musics (as for some well known names : Chemical brothers, Paul Kalkbrenner, Boyz Noise, NTo, Joachim Pastor, Boris Brejcha, Claptone, Fat Boy Slim and so on) and there are a lot's of place and events of this kind in Strasbourg and around. But I also like Opera and ballets, Pop Rock, going to exhibitions or any kind of new activities. I did a "role game" in the city last Saturday and went to a "bike food discovery" in Germany the sunny Sunday before (both free and organised by the town)

I like to go to market place on Saturday noon after my sport classes to buy my bread, viennoiseries, veggies & fruits and goat cheese ^^ and then have brunch with my friends. I like to have a drinks "en terrasse" with them.
I like to meet my parents and my brother's family too ... (2 nephews ab.so.lu.te.ly great)

And most of all I like to be kind, optimistic, solar, happy, full of good energy and ... laugh. And to be a smiling person. And I like when other peoples feel the same.
'cause even if (as many French people ;) I DO grumble sometimes ... it's just for the principle most of the time ^^'

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I always love when some relatives or relatives of friends are coming to my home town. I just love to show them around, or share with them the places I love or some tips about what to do, what to eat, what to see.
There are soooo many things to do in Strasbourg and around. Such an interresting, lovely and lively city. Whatever U like U'll have it there, from sport, to cultural events, restaurants, museums, shows, walks, biking to Germany ! (Strasbourg is along the German border, so 15/20 min bike and U cross the border and can ride in the countryside ;) )
U have mountains with great walks and ruined castles to visit, countryside, wineyards (famous ones !), forests, but also city nights with Opera, shows, bars, restaurants (Alsacian food is great too) and so on.... And a lot's of things to do or see are free !! U just have to know where to look ;)
All seasons are great. Xmas markets around are nice. Strasbourg's one is quite famous. The Cathedrale is great too and there are now 2 area of the city that are at the UNESCO World Heritage.

I just registered to couchsurfing as I'm planning a trip to the USA with my best friend... and honesly I was looking for hosting/accomodations... but in a "like home" or "like at friends" way. Meeting locals and having their point of view on their country/city + tips and advices. And if we get along well together do things together as visits, sports ... and maybe be friends ! (and then they'll have to come to visit wonderfull Strasbourg ;) )

So I discovered this community now and I just feel like I belong to it.
I can definitly picture myself cooking for a host, having talks, or going out on an evening event or an outdoor activity...
Even if I'm quite independent and like to do things the way I planned too ...
So it will really depends of the time my host have to share. Or wanna share. I'm easy going...

After my trip to the USA and my experiment of Couchsurfing (maybe) there, I'll see if I can manage with my time and job in Strasbourg to host too. Or at least I'll "help" and meet visitors !!
