Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing, because I LOVE to travel and want to see the world and stay with locals verses over-priced, impersonal hotels. I also love to learn about different cultures/customs and find Couchsurfing to be a good platform for that.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is generally anything spiritually uplifting and 80's music.

As for movies, I enjoy an assortment of sci-fi/fantasy ("The Matrix", "Star Trek", "The Lord of The Rings", "Star Wars"), select romantic/comedies ("The Princess Bride"), action/adventure ("Tomb Raider", "Indiana Jones") and select romance films ("Titanic", "Eat, Pray, Love").

I LOVE to READ! I hope to have my own in-home library one day. I generally enjoy spiritual, self-help, gardening, cooking, Art (How to), Photography, Art (table top books), poetry, Sci-fi, and Romance books. Some of my favorite authors are: Nora Roberts, Robert Frost, 'Tom Neddles' (pen name), Pamala Oslie, Louise Hay, Nicolas Sparks, and Stephenie Meyer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have hiked the Rockies! WOW! What an experience! I highly recommend a hike in "Estes National Park" and or "The Rocky Mountain National Park". I got some amazing photos and one heck of a work out!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach photography tips for better photos, simple jewelry making/small crafts. I can share my jewelry, photography, small crafts, origami, my experiences, and information about my cultural heritages ( I am of Italian/Norwegian decent), as well as information about The United States. I consider myself to be a citizen of the world and tend not to define myself by my geographical location.

I would love to learn what I can of a person's language, culture, and customs (food/drink, fashion, music, art, etc.)

I would also love to learn to play an instrument, perhaps, piano, bongo drums, or native flute, and maybe a cultural dance.

What I Can Share with Hosts

In addition to my photography, I also make my own jewelry, select small crafts, and simple origami. I enjoy sharing my talents and love of art with others. I do aura photography, as well as nature and wildlife photography professionally. Photography is my passion and career.

I can also share my travel adventures so far, which has been extensive, however only domestic to date. I have lived in a number of states including, Alaska, California, Colorado, Maine, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky. I have visited Vermont, Massachusetts, and Florida.

It is my hope and goal to be able to travel internationally within the next year. I am currently saving up for that adventure.
