I am a resident of Athens, but always dreaming and on the lookout for a house and farm in the countryside. I love plants: growing them, smelling them, being near them, painting them, photographing them! I have been through quite a few jobs in my life: teacher, journalist, translator, photographer, civil servant, and now I am dedicated to healing and flower essence therapy. I am also an enthusiastic gardener, seed saver, and permaculture designer! I am a mother of 3 teenagers, two of whom live with me and my partner.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I always prefer to stay with real people in real people's houses than in hotels or hostels. I also like having people stay over at my house, talking over tea and biscuits, I love listening to people's stories and experiences!

Interests

I love singing and painting, walking in the mountains and by the sea. I love just being in silence. I love laughing and gardening. I love exchanging seeds of rare and traditional varieties of plants.

Music: baroque, classical, and traditional - greek, mediterranean, indian, latin american!
Movies: Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, but also nature and ethnographic documentaries.
Books: lots of art, philosophy, fantasy, and travel, Ellis Peters, Katherine Mansfield, the "science fiction" of Doris Lessing, Philip Pullman, Tolkien, and occasionally crime fiction.
