About Me
Greetings!
My name is Elena, I am currently living in Japan and have been here since last November. I am living mainly in Kyoto but have been travelling around and working in various places such as Okayama and Osaka.
I've recently moved to Japan on a working holiday visa. Im particularly interested in working in the arts, I really love to paint and draw whilst I travel around as I find it a great way to document memories, people and places. I studied Textile design for three years in London and learnt the process of weaving (making fabric). Fabric is all over the world and I am really interested in learning new techniques and methods from different cultures. I find it to be a great a way to communicate with people.
I also love to explore places via bicycle, I would really to do a cycling trip in Japan so if you have any suggestions that would be really helpful! :)
Recently I have been working in Okayama at a Arts and Crafts centre where I was working on a permaculture farm, I'm interested in having my own farm one day so I would really like to find more work in this field.
