ABOUT ME

I'm a Computer Science student at the moment, but soon I will be on my gap year in New Zealand (August 12th), and I'm very excited about it ^_^

PHILOSOPHY

I want to see/feel as much of the world as possible before I go. I think of my motto as 'Life is short' ...I want to make sure I make the most of it!

I believe strongly in integrity and moral courage, cooperation and working together. I hate division, and antipathy between countries/areas.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

If anyone can host me during my New Zealand stay I would be so grateful! Because I have no money, but also because it's a much better and more down-to-earth experience of a country, in my opinion. It would be great to make some new friends so I don't get too lonely! :D I'll be going round North Island first, then South Island, then back up to North Island.

兴趣

I love learning about different cultures and languages and everything. I'm learning to speak Welsh, love mythology, films, books, music, food, different philosophies, all fantastic.

I play ukulele...will have my travel uke with me!

Films: Loads...Donnie Darko, Lethal Weapon, Die Hard, Airplane, Monty Python films, The Seventh Seal, Back to the Future, Italian Job, Indiana Jones, The Sting, Chocolat, ...etc.

Music: Huge Neil Finn fan, everything he's ever touched really, obviously including Crowded House- also a big fan of Stereophonics, James Taylor, Flight of the Conchords, Turin Brakes, Coldplay, Athlete, Arctic Monkeys, Carly Simon, Capercaillie, and so on.

Books: To Kill a Mockingbird, Le Petit Prince, most mythology, Scarlet Pimpernel books, Jeeves and Wooster, Jamaica Inn, Cold Comfort Farm...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I've been to the Sahara desert on camel back and visited the Troglodytes

I've walked on an Icelandic glacier and seen their beautiful landscape and waterfalls

I've done Tai Chi on a boat at 6am while cruising down the Yangtze river

Been all over the shop and can't wait to see/experience more!

Well I could teach basic Welsh, in theory (I've never tried before though!) and how to play ukulele (same thing there- never tried, but I think I could). I'm happy to share any knowledge/skills I have really.

Up for learning the basics of any language really, would love to know some Maori. Always up for learning about different cultures, for learning about an area's wildlife, most things really.
