ABOUT ME

I am a freak of nature WAIT I mean a freak for nature :) I absolutely love exploring places of beauty and learning about the plants and creatures along the way. The ocean is very important to my life and travels (you won't usually find me in landlocked places.) I love to laugh about the ridiculousness of life. Although I'm extremely passionate about conservation and always strive for purposeful travel, I never take anything too seriously. I like to have meaningful conversations but I'm pretty goofy and I like it that way. I have access to both the right and left sides of my brain. I tend to have a very scientific perspective of the world but am artistic and creative as well.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am always down to find surfing and rock climbing buddies...this is how I've met some of my best friends. I also love roaming urban environments and can talk for hours if the conversation entices me. I recently started climbing on silks (cirque du soleil style) and have my own rig so I'd love to learn from/teach interested circus wannabes like myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am NEW!!! I've heard great things about CS and have procrastinated getting involved. Lately, I've met some wonderful people secondhand through CS. Since I'm putting my traveling pants back on, I thought I'd give it a shot!

In a nutshell: I enjoy life to the fullest by exploring the natural beauty of this world. I plan to do this by surfing, diving, kayaking, rock climbing, sailing, biking and hiking to remote, rugged and spectacular places. I'm passionate about seeking truth and spreading the good word of conservation. I'm a semi-professional photographer and always interested in new projects. I take A LOT of pictures to document my travels. I love art, culture and history. I get really enthusiastic about all of these things.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Climbed a 14,000 foot Colorado peak, reached the top just in time for a thunderstorm to brew, did not get struck by lightening while descending wildly (maybe more terrifying than amazing...)

If we go hiking I will fill your head with knowledge about the plants and animals we see. I love learning and teaching about: ethnobotany. Mushroom hunting for edibles. Silks. Music. Cooking. Travel.
My personal favorite: sharing stories about anything.
