About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make myself an imaginary patch-work poncho with the colors of South America.

ABOUT ME

I'm French-German, I'm really into art and biology, I started studies, I dropped my studies, I decided to go to Ecuador where I lived half a year drawing birds for a beautiful little hotel way up in the Andes.
Now I am traveling from Colombia to Argentina in six months, before I go back to Germany and to studies.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't believe in life after death, I don't believe in the superiority of the human race. The existence of the homo sapiens sapiens is a glimpse in the life of our planet Earth and nothing in the life of the Universe. A human life, even less, is just a step in the cycle of transforming organic material. Memories, knowledge, creativity, ideas and feelings are nothing more than chemical reactions in a brain that will foul, rot and turn to mud some day. Nothing is important, nothing leads to something. It's incredibly self-centered to believe that life makes sense.
Strangely, all these ideas make me believe that life is the most amazing thing that was given to me, and exactly because it is pointless, I will use every second of it to learn, experience, love, create and be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to meet a lot of people in the countries I will travel to, it would be great to share any kind of creative activity.

Quisiera conocer a mucha gente y compartir cualquier actividad creativa en este viajo.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm quite new on CouchSurfing, so I can't really tell.

Interests

Drawing, painting and taking pictures is what I enjoy most - the streets and the landscapes are a huge art exhibition in with I keep looking for beautiful details, realistic portaits and outstanding canvas. Nothing better than sitting in the middle of a crowded ecuadorian fruit and vegetable market, eating ice cream and watching the people walk by. I like standing on my hands, acrobatics in general and taekwondo. I can spend hours cooking, very slowly, thinking, meditating, as much as I can spend hours dancing to the music of colombian drums. I love meeting a lot of people, having long conversations, and then I also enjoy the silence, reading or writing. Learning and improving languages is my main activity right now: some people collect stamps, I collect words. There is a bunch of other things that make life worth living and I guess it's not necessary to mention that travelling is very high in my personal ranking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess sleeping outside, next to a smooth norvegian moutain lake that looked like a mirror in which the incredible amount of stars were reflected and listening to the whispering forest was one of my greatest experiences.
Staying three days in a circus convention high up in the Andes, surrounded by a crowd of juggling, jumping, colourful and creative people from all over South America, was a time I won't forget.

Slide down a volcano, shower in a waterfall, danse with the Indians, see a hundred fireflies in my back yard, make 40 kg of rasberry jam, drive from Chicago to Boulder and discover Ecuador would be some other examples.

Teach, Learn, Share

Puedo compartir mis habilidades en: la cocina francesa/alemana, el dibujo / la pintura, fotografia, tejidos (manillas macrame) ...
