Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To connect with people, to meet joyful, excited, inspired, creative and kind hearted beings. To explore alternative ways of living and different cultures. To be in and with nature. To meet fellow teachers and children.
ABOUT ME
I'm in my flow, life brings me joy and abundance. I've just moved to stunning Far north Queensland near the Daintree rainforest to live on land, grow food and community. I am teaching myself music and I'm interested in the esoteric, philosophy, art, sociology, ecology, science, technology and education. I am a teacher and I love to participate in positive social and environmental projects that shine light into our world.
PHILOSOPHY
Live simply, explore far and wide. Listen to others and the world. Play. Be kind. Flow, relax, focus. Collaborate. Teach through being the change. Gratitude.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been a member since 2010 however I have not really got the hang of couch surfing yet. I joined when my partner (now fiancé) travelled South and central America in 2010/2011. As a child my family hosted many many exchange students from all over the world ( I think the count is 15 students) so I feel very familiar and comfortable with the idea of living with people I have not met before. Currently we are setting up our new home... we are living in a tent so it is not easy for us to host anyone. When we build some more composting toilets and solar showers we can offer space to surfers.. but it will be in a tent with the prize of the most exquisite view of trees and valley and mountains.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As I mentioned above my family hosted many students whilst I was growing up. Although we are a big family of 8 people we always managed to find room for another, and take them in as family.
I'm new to the CS community but I am not new to feelings of hospitality and the warmth and kindness of people that share their homes.

I also love to learn more about using technology such as the web and video documentary for creative expression. I am building my skills in these areas also and I am happy to share what I know.
