In not so many words I consider myself a dreamer and an optimist. Life is about enjoying the journey but taking time to take care of necessities. I put my family and friends first and strive to be a reliable person who contributes to the world around me in a positive way. My husband is the best travel companion I could ever ask for. Continually looking for avenues of adventure is just something we like to do together and it makes the dull moments fewer and father between.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

My husband and I love to travel and see new things, but when we go to new places (or even return to places we've been before) we are missing out on meeting people in the community. We are hoping that by utilizing the Couchsurfing community more doors to travel will open up for us, and that we will be able to meet more people like us. In turn we hope to help others obtain the same opportunities that have been gifted to us.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I am a fan of just about everything when it comes to these three categories. Having favorites is next to impossible when there is so much good stuff out there!

Country music and classics are two of my top picks for music. Oh and you can't forget good 'ole Disney music. How can you not break out in song to Hakuna Matata or I'll Make a Man Out of You?? But I can bop along to just about anything while I'm in the car. I also like hearing about new stuff, you just never know what you're going to like until you are immersed in it.

When it comes to movies I love action and adventure, a good comedy or romance are nice to mix things up though. I'm game for anything except horror. My top favorite tv show to watch has got to be The Walking Dead - no spoilers please ;).

I consider books as doorways to other worlds. I can't go a week without opening a book and reading a few chapters. I am constantly expanding my library. I will ready almost any book as long as it holds my interest or introduces a new concept I haven't heard before. By far my favorites are The Lord of the Rings, the intensity of that trilogy is insane to think about.

I could say I have done some amazing things in my life like flying a glider when I was 17. Or earning a regional award through Civil Air Patrol. Or crewing for a hot air balloon. Or that I read 180+ chapter books in 2010 because I thought it was a fun challenge. Or that I have slept standing up and didn't fall flat on my face. But I would rather hear about what other people have done; it is the stories from others that inspire me to strive onward and continue to do amazing things myself.

I can help out around the house with work and I will certainly pick up after myself. I have no problem with providing dinner (or any meal) for the family I am staying with. Anything I can do to give back I'm willing to do :)

I can also share fun stories, good laughs, and lots of smiles.
