Interests

I try to feed my soul with beautiful things, whether it as simple as the look of clay on my hands when I do ceramics, or the conversations I have with artisans craft festivals. Hiking is also a great outlet for me -- not just hiking -- noticing the wildflowers, the patterns in the bark, the gentle unfolding of leaves, and the patterns as the sunlight is filter through trees. I'm falling in love with Bikram yoga and what it does for my mind. I like to make gifts for family and friends: mugs, bowls, paintings, origami medicine balls . . . so I keep myself busy creatively. I find poetry to be healing and try to read little bits.
