ABOUT ME

2014 is my year for living a long-held dream. My partner, K and I are travelling all the way around the world. We're leaving the UK in May, and expect to be back around Halloween, if the money holds out. We're both professional freelancers in our 30s. He's a computer programmer and technical writer, I'm a writer, editor and software tester.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Brand new to couch surfing. I don't currently have a couch, as my partner and I have been living in a 7m-long caravan for most of the last 2 years. We're off to travel ALL THE WAY around the world in 2014, and hope to connect with locals via couchsurfing along the way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Crashing on friends floors is how I did a lot of my travel while at uni! After a couple of fire alarms, I did learn to wear something to sleep in that you don't mind spending the day in...

Muzyka, filmy i książki

Having a real sci-fi/fantasy phase at the moment, reading Diana Wynne Jones, John Scalzi, Kate Atkinson... I like movies that are shot on location and make me laugh, like Friends with Benefits. I love the Before Sunset/Sunrise/Midnight trilogy and Life is Beautiful.

We spent last summer in Sweden, and I loved going swimming at 6-7-8 at night. The sun was still up, but low in the sky, and the water was cool and lush. Paradise!

I can teach you to knit or crochet, and help with most problems with both. I speak French, so we could chat in that language, and am a professional editor if you need writing tips!
