looking at strangers in the eyes to see if they are really human
Hello! I have just finished a semester studying in Montreal and am now traveling for a little while, perhaps in a circle. I'm super practical, but chronically indecisive and like tea and books and people and long chats, especially when they're all combined.
"Who really can face the future? All you can do is project from the past, even when the past shows that such projections are often wrong. And who really can forget the past? What else is there to know?"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Couchsurfing has proved to be an invaluable resource on my travels in bringing a lot of cities to life. I'll have a couch ready when I return to Sydney in July (stay tuned).
After meeting friendly folk on my travels that have leant comfy (or sometimes not so comfy) places to stay, I can't wait to do more.
I like public libraries, reading, writing, hiking, camping, catching trains, brutalist architecture, nice beer and urban decay. I'm interested in permaculture and sustainability, the links between politics and the environment and the ways people interact with each other on all levels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going to the Kumbh Mela, India in early 2013 - an enormous Hindu Festival and the world's largest gathering of people! Crowds swarming, dust flying, pilgrims bathing, hearts beating.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't think there is any better way to learn about the world and yourself than from other people.
