Losing weight while keeping eating a lot of exotic food (since I'm in a different country)
Hi, everyone! I'm Ellie from China. I'm 21 years old and currently majoring in Economics in Zhejiang University.
I am an optimistic most of the time, a movie addict, a music lover and a early riser all the time. I am heavily addicted to American sitcoms (HIMYM, TBBT, Modern Family, Community, etc.). Also, I'm a faithful reader of the HP series, which accompanied me through my every important exam during the last 8 years (I get more concentrated when I read about how Hermione). So I guess I'm a little too influenced by pop culture. ;p
I'm also a music lover. So if you are interested in any of these artists below, we might get along just well.
Foster The People
Right now I'm studying Economics in Zhejiang University in China. When I graduate, I think I'll pursue a master in the USA or Canada. So any chance to pratice my English is more than welcome to me. Besides, I'm really interested in Spanish, Japanese and Korean, even though I'm only familiar with the most basic words in these languages.
Some other trivias:
I really like animals (except anything with wings), however I cannot keep one in my apartment.
Take your time. Mind what you are doing right now. And see where it takes you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Now I'm in Canada, attending this summer school program in the University of Toronto. So I will probably become a traveler visiting different provinces in Canada.
When I return to China, I'll be more than happy to host some travelers, who surprisingly choose to come to Hangzhou (Hangzhou is beautiful indeed, but we all know that the all time favorites are Beijing and Shanghai.)
None. I just heard about this program from a friend.
TV shows (sitcoms mainly)
Postcrossing (check out my personal pageâ http://www.postcrossing.com/user/ElizaLew)
Doing nothing all day (but that luxury almost never comes)
Spending time with my friends and family
Music, Movies, and Books
Oops, I listed them in "All about you".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I volunteered temporarily during my last three years in university. I mainly served as an assistant or guide in different museums. Before volunteering, I really didn't know much about some traditional Chinese artifacts. But after this experience, I learnt so much about my culture and also about how to value the beautiful of a unique culture.
