ABOUT ME

It seems I show up for people's transitions, all kinds, I seek the essence of people and draw out their essential genius or clear aspects. I like asking good questions and being asked good questions, being challenged. In recent years I help gifted young people onto their life missions. I'm an intuitive astrologer and have tools and generally a sense of people's emerging paths. Also love to hang out with elders. I seem to be available as a catalyst. I have helped to initiate or participate various movements in the world of (ecobusiness), medicine people's schools, community artworks. I've always been interested in folk psychiatry, how shamans and conscious communities assist in the healing of minds . the Polish Artist Stanislas Szukawlski said: Those who eagerly perceive the as-yet unnamed are vagabonds...

I have stayed in various communities or returned for 5 plus years as base including: New York (8), New Mexico (11), Northern California (7), Baltimore (17), Southern California (5), and have tribe in these places as well as Brazil, Ecuador (20 years involvement) Brazil (6 years), Prague (1 year) Paris (1 year)

PHILOSOPHY

I'm Taoist by nature practice study, and have studied the essence of ancient wisdom traditions but also cast off belief systems in def. to self-liberating curiosity...Also studied shamanism for 31 years ... Recently I'm a pragmatist and enjoy down-to-earth ordinary people like myself. I am a universalist mystic, well-grounded too with a pragmatic mind. I live without property and possessions but respect people who are collectors and experimenters in the material world. I have many friends who are mastering the material world. I believe in shadow work, that our main work is to heal all grievances and reduce projections. We all contain multitudes, no need to judge. My path is empathy and compassion.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't generally lead with a personal identity but I quickly assess what is most needed in any context and apply myself to that. I am happy doing abstract organizing and problem solving as well as menial/physical tasks, which I do with focus and love. I am a good communicator. I have good ideas and follow-through energy, but generally participate in the beginnings of projects, making a strong foundation, languaging concepts, finding resources, inviting participation.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just one experience... In 3 and a half years of living and working in different countries I've only used couch surfing one time and it was so precious... I found someone born within a couple months of me, so he seemed like a soul brother. I have lived for 28 years without property or possessions, traveling and sharing and connecting people to resources I have stayed in certain parts of the world long enough to initiate projects, complete projects and find and grow tribe.

Gift economies, projects that stimulate gift economies and local off-the-grid self-reliance. Self-liberating tools of freedom including personal storytelling, dancing. Tracking synchronicity and statistically impossible occurrences that arrive daily, especially as we travel. Participant observation in the mysteries, nature of mind and mind of nature. Anomalous phenomena as lived. Leading and participating in groups involving journalling processes, exploratory forms of theater, self-liberating tools of freedom/ personal storytelling, spontaneous singing of spontaneous melodies, spontaneous dancing, Tian Gong, entheogens, discovering kindred spirits as we go...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

While traveling in India for six months in 1982, I had a string of experiences close together over a couple of days including:landing in a village in Kashmir while they were doing a powerful prayer, an entire village thought we were sent by Allah in response to their prayers, later that day we found a cave where a spider-like saddhu on a perch and his friends had been meditating on a fire (fueling it with their minds) for forty years, then traveled three days to the Bodhi tree and circled it hundreds of times, at dusk a man threw gold coins and all the beggars scrambled for gold, scattering shadows; i was so relieved and grateful that night to happen upon a place to rest on a train platform that i loved the scurrying sound of little mammal's feet knowing full well they were little rat feet
