I'm Emilie from the Netherlands. I'm 24 years old and just finished my study with an internship in Newcastle, NSW. So now I have some time left to travel and see Australia's beauty! It is my first time couchsurfing, so I hope it is as fun as it looks like. I'll be traveling from Cairns to Sydney (how original ;) ).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope to meet a lot of new friends while couchsurfing. And I think it will be the best way to see a city or area with someone who is living there and knows more than what my Lonely Planet can tell me. I'd love to see Australia from the Australians perspective :)

Interests

I recently started diving and I love it! I like to go on bushwalks, to see some nature and stunning views. I also like to go see live music, from the biggest festivals to a small bar just around the corner. Or just hang out with a bunch of nice people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly listen to Punk, Rock, Ska, Reggae and Rock 'n' Roll, but I can enjoy most of the music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Until now, my highlight of Australia was going on a tour from Alice Springs to Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon. All stunning and great people and atmosphere!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook and bake. I could bake you some Dutch cheese pancakes or anything else you like.
