Über mich
Hello! My name is Emily, I'm a 26 year old Australian student. I live in outback Queensland on a cattle station with my partner and many many dogs, also lots of cattle.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
Whenever I travel, I really worry that I'm only seeing the very surface of a new place. Even though a city may be really beautiful, it's the people that bring it to life. The best times of my life have been staying with new people in new places, and it seems like couchsurfing is a huge community of people who think the same.
Also I'm pretty poor. Not too poor to buy hosts some wine, of course.
Interessen
Most of my life is taken up with studying a masters of applied anthropology - I am fascinated by culture, language, and I love nothing more than to learn what is important to people.
I love photography, running (very very slowly), learning to cook delicious things, going on adventures, and learning interesting dances.

Musik, Filme und Bücher
I get very nervous when someone asks me about my favourite music or books, because narrowing them all down is super, super difficult. So... most of them, except Dan Brown.
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
When I used to work in the Central Australian Desert I went with a group of kids to 'giants hole' - a deep sink hole and cave that the locals say is home to bigfoot. We climbed down, while all the kids chanted 'goodbye! We loved you! Goodbye! Goodbye!', lit a fire, and did not get eaten by any yetis or yowies or giants. It was pretty fun.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I'm not sure what goes here. I can cook a pretty passable tortilla, if you want to know that, also I really like doing language exchanges.
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
I'm really very nice to hang out with, so is my partner (who has a fantastic beard which is worth seeing up close). I'm clean and respectful, I wash up after, I have some interesting stories about all the snakes in the outback (did you know they like milk?).
