Personal discovery! I simply want to expereince more in life to be able to express it through art.

ABOUT ME

I graduated from the University of Alabama a year ago, and have been a freelance, traveling artist since then. I have been to Kansas, Chicago, Florida, North Carolina, Seattle, and slew of other places in the past year.

I am currently located on Vashon Island, through the organization WWOOF (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms). Learning to garden has been a fantastic experience, and I am living with an amazing older couple, that I am sure will be some life-long friends of mine.

Besides that, I am an artist that works in many different mediums. I studied ceramics in college, and am currently writing a graphic novel based on a personal mythology. I like a good gin fizz, art museums, vintage clothes, hiking through the woods, putting my feet in the water, yoga, and hummus.

PHILOSOPHY

I live by the golden rule. Treat others the way you want to be treated.

Books: The Odyssey; Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs; Franny and Zooey; One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest; Gulliver's Travels; I am really much more of a poetry reader than novels. My favorite poets are Robert Frost, Adela Florence Nicolson, and Ezra Pound

Movies: Wizard of Oz; Fight Club; anything by Wes Anderson, Coen Brothers, Kubrick or Miyazaki; Star Wars; Truman Show; Stand by Me

TV: I watch a lot of television via torrents or Netflix. Favorites: The X-Files; Arrested Development; Lost; Battlestar Galactica; Antiques Roadshow.

Music: I really listen to just about anything as long as I am feelin' it. Favorites include: The Killers, Phoenix, John Coltrane, RHCP, The Ramones, Beatles, Wilco, Cake

I can teach you how to throw on the potters wheel, draw a still life, make a linoleum print, carry out ethnographic research, dig on an archaeological site, tell you myths from all over the world, read tarot cards, and make great fried chicken!
