When I travel I like to take my time and really see a city. Knowing a local always helps and I prefer to get to know the history of a city as I travel it. At the moment I'm particularly interested in Japanese history, culture, and religion.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently visited Yakushima, a small island south of Kagoshima Prefecture. It was absolutely beautiful. Peaceful hiking, playing on the beach during a typhoon and seeing baby sea turtles being born. Amazing!
