To meet and stay with the people kind/crazy enough to let perfect strangers into their homes for a night!
I'm a 20 year old Canadian university student currently on a Gap-Year with a friend. (Sorry, we're a package deal!) I'm extremely adaptable and will be comfortable on anything from an air mattress or a dog bed to a king-sized feather bed. I'm a vegetarian, but not the picky, annoying kind. I don't really care about the animals to be quite honest, I'm just not too fond of the taste. I don't smoke and have been to known to stage fake coughing fits around chain smokers (sorry.) I'm up for just about anything and look forward to meeting some interesting and upbeat people along the way!
I try my best to live in the present and not dwell on things in the past. I try to be positive and polite at all times and I say, as long as you're having fun, don't let anyone tell you no.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Although I'm currently on the road, once I'm back in Canada, I will definitely open my couch to surfers!
I have absolutely no experience Couch Surfing and am actually petrified to try it, but here's hoping all goes well!
Rugby (and I used to do ballet...)
Music (anything but rap)
Sight-seeing & traveling
Art (just to look at though - I'm a hopeless artist myself)
- ballet dancing
Music, Movies, and Books
I love Country Music (ahh, guilty pleasure! But I will refrain from blasting it if you're not so keen.)
I love the Harry Potter books ... who doesn't?! Pillars of the Earth is another of my favourites and anything by Kurt Vonnegut.
Some of my favourite (non-country) bands are:
Steve Miller Band
The Joel Plaskett Emergency
I generally like all kinds of movies, but not so much the Harlequin Romances. All the Bourne Identity/Supremecy/Ultimatum films as well as Pulp Fiction, The Boondock Saints, Snatch and anything with Seth Rogen.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
So far, I haven't seen anything overly remarkable. I hope to change that in the near future traveling through South Africa and Western Europe.
Teach, Learn, Share
A valuable life skill:
When slicing onions, light a candle and you won't cry. Try it.
