Interests

I really like baked goods, playing ultimate frisbee and hanging out in cafes. I spend my spare time wood engraving, reading, and playing scrabble and drinking with my roommates and friends. I am also dorkily interested in religion, the Virgin Mary, modern and historical pilgrimage, reading the Bible and religious art.

Music, Movies, and Books

Reading Lolita in Tehran, Sherlock Holmes, The Alchemist, La Sombra del Viento, and Ecclesiastes are some of my favorite books. I like bluegrass and flamenco and all kinds of terrible pop music. I love new music in Spanish.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have had an audience with the Dalai Lama while in Sarnath, India studying Tibetan Buddhism!

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to wood engrave, speak Spanish and English and basic Chinese and Hebrew. I am always interested in learning new languages
