Hello there and thanks for stopping by! I’m new to couch-surfing but after hearing loads of incredible stories from friends who have used the site on their various mouth-watering adventures around the globe, I realised I was missing out. It sounds like an amazing community to be part of and a much better way to truly experience a new place - meeting locals and experiencing local customs, with like-minded souls.

Without giving you my life story (!), I grew up in New Zealand and like a number of other kiwis, I now live in London and have called it home for the past 7 years. I feel really lucky to have grown up in such a gorgeous part of the world and nothing makes me happier than getting a dose of a similar landscape, filled with water and greenery, however I’m a bit of a city girl at heart and couldn’t resist the lure of London where the weird and wonderful are at your doorstep whenever you want.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been fortunate enough to travel fairly regularly since I was young and although I’ve been to some amazing places and have some very fond memories, I feel like I’ve seen most places like a ‘typical tourist’. Moving forward, rather than seeing new places through a tourist lens as such I’d like to use couch-surfing as a way to help immerse myself in the local culture as well as sharing any of my experiences to help inspire others for any of their own travels.

Interests

I try to embrace the motto of giving anything a go once and love making the most of living in a truly vibrant city like London. I can generally be found going running or cycling with friends and rewarding ourselves at the end with some yummy food and a nice glass (or two!) of wine, getting inspiration for the next mini adventure no matter what that might be, enjoying a gig or visiting a design or photography exhibition.

Without copping out but as long as it’s not sci-fi then I enjoy most movie genres and similarly with music, as long as it’s not heavy metal or rock then I’ll be up for listening to anything depending on my mood.
