to meet new people
well I love meeting new people and making friends from different backgrounds and cultures, which makes CS perfect for me. Hopefully I'm generous, funny and straight forward. Im not doing it for a free ride, dont need to do that, but because its a much more preferable option to travelling alone.Love it.
better to have something to remember than nothing to regret..
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hopefully I am a good guide for israel and try and get involved with CS events as much as possible.
Opened my horizons and given me the chance to meet lots of interesting people that I would never have met otherwise, from a professional photographer, to a classical violinist.
I love sport and live a very active lifestyle. I play football and swim competitively. I like to keep fit and healthy and believe the best way to do that is by being active.
loads of music: concerts, festivals, chamber music, jazz clubs, rock till you drop, wine drinking and tasting and conversations evolving around wine drinking and tasting :)
movie festivals, reading, dancing, museums, languages, cultural exchange, walking long distances without any particular purpose, daydreaming, hanging out at trainstations - just admire watching the people!
Music, Movies, and Books
A good mixture along the lines of: Bob Dylan, Mumford & sons, Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles, The Cat Empire, Vampire Weekend, Angus and Julia Stone, Iron & Wine, Regina Spektor, Kings of Leon, Caravan Palace,David Bowie, John Butler Trio, Balkan Beat Box, Muse, Floggin Molly, Queen, Laura Marling, Frank Turner and such...
Am currently reading 'Shantaram' by Gregory David Roberts.
I haven't seen many films but ones I've really liked are Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid, The Breakfast club, Into the Wild, Paris Je T'aime, Once, Amelie, The Great Escape and any kind of Monty Python.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The sunset at the Sh'if Fortress in the south of Lebanon. If you look one way, you can see Israel; if you look the opposite way, you can see the sea, so you can see the entire width of Lebanon.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll teach you what is relevant and interesting to you but just as important I'll want to learn something from you.
