ABOUT ME

An odd duck, with a lovely canine companion, Calli, my Coton de Tulear, who keeps me company and keeps me laughing. Hypo-allergenic and beautifully behaved, Calli generally is able to travel with me wherever I go, especially in France.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live may describe it best. I'm not fond of dictatorial, judgmental people or regimes, of any ilk.

Interests

Reading, Duplicate Bridge, Music (Classical, esp, - piano is favorite), enjoying good food, Watercolors, Photography, Crocheting, Yoga, Golf, Bowling, looking for pretty seashells, balcony gardening, tho I've no green thumb.

Music, Movies, and Books

I generally read for relaxation, and have eclectic interests: fantasy, science fiction, mystery, suspense, historical novels, certain best sellers, i.e., Cold Mountain and Thirteen Moons by Charles Frazier. I am currently reading The Poison King by Adrienne Mayor and Expiation by Patricia MacDonald, the latter in French to improve my vocabulary.
I like movies but won't go by myself, and do not currently have a video player at home. So, there's a whole gamut waiting for me, one day!
My favorite music is classical, generally the more lyrical pieces, and my favorite instrument is the piano. I also enjoy a wide range of other music, but if I want to improve my spirits, I always choose classical.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Playing on, and running up and down, the enormous sand dunes cascading to the gorgeous turquoise and velvet green sea at Half Moon Bay. It's odd, but I'm talking about something that doesn't exist anymore; the place is still there - the sea is still there - but the topography is entirely different from the way it was in the late 1940's.

I suppose I know a little about a lot. I'm always willing to share, when asked, but I hate to impose. And, I'm always anxious to learn!
