About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Do slow easy travelling with my husband around Indonesia. As we just recently become self employed with flexible working hours.
ABOUT ME
I am a Muslim woman, wearing hijab, fully covered, wearing niqob (face cover). I am married, no children.
I live in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. Was born here, grow here, school here, married here 😁
I have a strict nice beautifull life.
No drink, no smoking, no party.
Cafe is okay, as long as it doesn't have music or smoking guys around 🙏
I work as a phisical therapist, my job is time and energy consuming (no online version so far) 😆
So I don't always have time to go meet up. But never hesitate to contact me anytime. I am a self employed, have flexibility for texting.
PHILOSOPHY
Help someone today, and maybe someday I'll meet someone else when I badly need help. Life is about sharing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I joined couchsurfing not because my needs in travelling, but because I want to meet travellers and foreigners.
Caring and sharing, helping them feel the warmness of my part of Borneo Island.
As a Muslim, giving alms is a source of pride. Helping or caring is one kind of alms.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I used to be an active host years ago. Now I live in my very own tiny house. No space to offer for surfers. But I still can offer my hospitality, frienship, information change, and other helpfull assistant for other travellers.
I have met many kinds of people, and still doing to see more. Teach and learn anything possible. Aren't we here for sharing?! ^_^
Interests
Personally, writing blog and journals, gardening and urban farming, sewing, crocheting, knitting, baking bread and cake, travelling, photography.
For travelling, I love to see people and nature more than touristy attraction.
Traditional market, houses, farms, fields, animals, fishes, buildings, bridges, flower garden, vegetable garden, mountain, lake.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One day my Dad brought a man home from bus station, he was lost on his journey to find his brother. I found him clueless and desperate. But when he got help and place to shelter, he found his spirit back. Later he met his brother, and got job to settle down. That inspired me so much.
A few years later I wanted to travel to city he lives in, try my luck if I really can go that far from home (I was a newbie traveller back then). But I was run out of budget on my way, and some nice people helped me change destination.
Where I had the most amazing travel experience at Derawan Island, the place I never thought I could reach.
Sometimes what we did would be paid back, by the ways we never expected.
Teach, Learn, Share
This is an important thing.
I'd like to share you what you need to know for your visit in Borneo
1. Water
Clean water here flowing through pipes from filtering company. But not purified, so it is not directly drinkable. You need to boil it first. More practical option is to buy mineral water on bottle.
2. Weather
Indonesia has only two season, hot and rain. Rain still drop on hot season, and hot still comes on rainy season. The differences is only about intensity of raindrop or the heat. So basically, since Borneo is closer to equator, the climate is hot and humid, 32 to 35 celcius daytime. No need winter clothes anytime in the year. Sunscreen cream is advised
3. Mosquito
Mosquitoes are a lot!!! Be sure you have repellent lotion. Not have one? Don't worry, we sell many here, and cheap. Drink anti malaria pill if necessary, only if you want to go to forest.
4. Food
Indonesian tradition is eat with chili for any food. But you still can request non spicy food. Just be aware if you re too sensitive on spicy.
5. Vegetarian
Balikpapan is coastal city, seafood is the proud treasure. Nut vegetarian restaurants are available.
6. Internet
Don't worry, Balikpapan is one of the busiest city in Indonesia. Internet available everywhere. Cafes are easy to find.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I don't surf much. But if I do, surely we will have nice conversation about literally everything.
I never travel alone, my husband always stay by my side anytime. We both love clean, we are respectfull, we can make sure any host won't regret to have us as their guests.
I can cook delecious foods if needed.
