Being a better person. In every way.
I am a 20-year-old (and I know I have to upgrade this every year now) Sociology student at Tallin University. I chose to learn Sociology because I have always loved analyzing different people's reactions and motives in different stuations. What I like most is questioning my friends in a socratic method, teaching them and myself at the same time. I also love literature and especially not so famous books by really famous authors. It's like finding out about their bastard child or something..
But scholastics aside, I am fun and vivacious, I love dancing, fashion, art cinema, learning new languages, doing bodybalance and I currently work at a bar so I can make fabulous cocktails and shots. ;)
What people find most intriguing about me is my complex nature..which isn't that complex at all. At times I just tend to be a little too ambitious, a little too blunt-spoken and a little too dramatic. But once you get to know me, you'll never go back. :) After all, Donald Trump wouldn't be Donald Trump if the names of his books were "think small" and "always give up". ;)
People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God;
It was never between you and them anyway.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I try to respond to each couchsurfer and show them a good time by showing them around Tallinn, taking them out with my friends or just giving them useful tips. :)
My best CS experience was about a month ago when three guys from Belgium came to Tallinn and asked me if I could suggest things to do as they were here for just one day. Since I didn't check my email until later that evening, I couldn't suggest anything but some nightclubs and restaurants to go to, but I also invited them to join me and my friends at a bar in the Old Town. Long story short, we ended up having a great time and went to Riga with them the next morning to have yet a another memorable night. :)
Meeting interesting people/ reading great books/ dancing like no one's watching/ collecting Vogue magazines/ finding solutions to all problems/ watching TED conferences online/ collecting post-its with interesting notes and idioms/ independent study of medicine/ trying to know everything about everything/ being me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I've ever seen was seeing my mother getting married to the love of her life. I had never seen her more happy.. :)
The one amazing thing I've done in my life so far is probably the "yes-man project" that I imposed upon myself. It means that from now on I receive opportunities and challenges with open arms. You should try it sometimes, you might be positively surprised. ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I am totally, 100% for this idea! I think that's exactly what travelling and meeting new people should be about - exchange. So far, I've done my best to share my knowledge and experience with all the couchsurfers I've met - I've shared my opinion about politics and economics as I study politics and have attended several financial seminars and the Estonian Business School, I've suggested great books to read and so on. In addition to that, I'm a decent cook and a good writer, I know maths and chemistry and journalism, I can teach you salsa or merengue or art history, or show you the basics of oil-painting or coktail-making or manipulating. ;)
