I'm dreaming of visiting every country in the world. So far I've been in 68 countries (November 2016), depending on how do you count still 128 left.
A typical scientist, finished university in 2016, now working for an optical engineering company. If you have been to a cinema in the last 10 years you probably used one of our products without knowing, if you are interested what it is let me know!
I'm happily married but I typically have more time and more itchy feet than my wife, so from time to time I travel alone, other times with my wife or with friends. Mostly depending on the weirdness of my destination :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would like to show you the city if you have time, Vienna is really one of the greatest cities I've ever been and I have the luck to live here - Number 1 in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World%27s_most_livable_cities :)
I mostly enjoy to meet/host/stay with people who have a passion for something, personalities who show commitment to something. The most amazing people I met were those who had a clear idea what they like to do, that does necessarily means to that this is only related to a job; it can be a hobby, a dream, whatever. This is what makes people interesting; this is what makes couchsurfing interesting: to learn from somebody else what he/she really likes.
Each of all these experiences where great but different in either way or another
I got splendid tours through the city, stayed in nice rooms, ate great food and much more.
Physics, Engineering, Science
Traditional artisanry, artisanial food (I'm member of the local Slow Food Youth chapter)
Music, Movies, and Books
Austrian movies in Viennese idiom - for example "Muttertag", "Immer nie am Meer", "Indien", "Hundstage", "Komm süßer Tod", "MA 2412", "Import Export", "Bockerer" and so on...
Russian and Old Soviet Movies like "Irony of Fate" or "Target"
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think the most magnificent things I encounterd in travelling are the people you meet by chance
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd could teach you German (or austrian idiom), traditional Austrian food and how to survive absurd bureaucracy
