About Me
Hi! I've been traveling around Asia for the last three years, teaching here and there as I go. I really enjoy discovering different places, the way people live there and what they think of the world. This has been the best education I could receive, and I hope to continue it while giving some back along the way...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on CouchSurfing because it seems like a good way to quickly connect with people who could give me insights into local culture and interests, and maybe even become friends.

I like bars*, reading, traveling (obviously), movies, politics**, food(!), and just generally seeing new things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I taught English in China for over a year, and staged a successful, one-man strike when our employer refused to pay us. Being one of only three full-time teachers (with heavy course loads), this compelled my employee to pay us in cash the following day. Victory for workers' rights in China! I think that's pretty amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a lot to share... I've been studying world politics and diplomacy part-time in pursuit of my master's in international relations and, before that, was in the Air Force for a number of years, which taught me a tremendous amount about people and the way the world functions (and doesn't). I love delving into topics ranging from literature to personal experiences to the future (especially that last one - I'm a huge sci-fi fan).
My short time traveling alone has taught me that it's simply not the best way to see the world... I'm a "people person," and truly need to share these experiences in order to get the most out of them.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm happy to practice English with you and pay for a few drinks and meals out, in return for your hospitality. I'm a very tidy person, so I'm willing to keep after myself and do a bit of housekeeping as well.
