I'm new to the Los Angeles area, and attempting to get an acting gig going. I've only been here a few days, and doing my best to make it work.

I've been doing the extras thing in Oregon for 4 years and decided I would give the Hollywood experience a try. You can see my photos and experience per request.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

LA was more expensive than I thought it would be based on what I had gathered! I guess that's a common story. I don't have enough money to afford an apartment, the money I brought with me is enough for gas and return trip if necessary. I do however have some job leads that I am following up on.

Interests

Acting, computers, Christianity, computer games, xbox, acoustic guitar, orange sunsets and warm beaches. I have a couple friends in the tv / movie industry who gave me some pointers and tips but again, I am still learning.

I am interested in but don't know how to do 3d animation, CAD, etc, though I would be fascinated to see how it is done. I used to make 3d worlds for the Quake 3 engine but graphics have moved vastly beyond that. (1999 level!)

My Philosophy is: Be nice to people. Unless you stole my Pepsi, then game on!

I've taught English in Japan, and I enjoyed it. It definitely broadened my mind how to re-translate something to help people understand and learn when I was teaching them.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share the information I've gleaned about the acting world with other aspiring artists? I also used to own a computer shop, so if you're having issues with your computer or other technical stuff I'd be happy to help! Also I know Photoshop cs3 fairly well, if you need some touchups, I can see what I can do?
