About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Very easy going, fun, free spirit just looking to meet as many people in the world as I can and making meaningful connections along the way

ABOUT ME

I think I have finally made it back to my landing ground of Austin, Texas, but it took me 4 tries to get here. Originally from Chicago my parents took me out of the rich cultureland and made me move to El Paso. Learned all about my Mexican culture there and found some golden friends, but was ready to move as soon as I could. World traveler, creative writer, lover of all things music and a good friend.

PHILOSOPHY

Never judge. Always live with hope and happiness. Make sure you set your dreams in specifics, because they always come true.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling to meet new people and experience diverse cultures.

Interests

Hiking, biking, running, spending time with my doggie Ellie Bell, discovering new facets of life and always opening my heart along the way

Music, Movies, and Books

The Alchemist, I Know Why The Cage Bird Sings, House on Mango Street, The Diary of Anne Frank, Love Yourself Like Your Life Depended On It, Brida

Breakin 2 Electric Bogaloo, Love Actually, Four Weddings and A Funeral, Like Water For Chocolate, Lost in Translation

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking the Camino de Santiago in 2013. Learning there that life is just better when other people are around you. At the end of the day all that matters is that you have people to connect with, a warm bed and meal and the occasional shower (though I shower daily). :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Started Shiny Healthy People, a website on assisting, educating and empowering you to find the healer within. I'm a PA by trade, but teach healthcare professionals about holistic tools they can use in their practice. I hope to one day move my practice into Mexico and Latin America.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good, delicious food and an open mind and always some time to play.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Chile, France, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Mexico, Spain, United States, Venezuela
