To cleanse myself of corporate residue

ABOUT ME

I'm brand new to CS and, having just been downsized from a morbid corporate existance, am celebrating my new found freedom with a motocycle trip around the states and through Canada. As such I'd like to meet some cool people along the way, as well as protect my limited budget for said journey. What's more I'm definitely not a Republican.

PHILOSOPHY

Studied east asian religion and culture in college and lived in Japan for two years looking for the Tao. Alas, Tokyo has lost it's way. Nevertheless, I am convinced of the quiet synchronicity of the universe and plan on sailing it's winds as breezily as possible. One trip on the blue marble, heh?

Once well travelled I hope to revive the emancipated mindset and share my experience with like minded folk. Mi casa su casa!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've backpacked through the US, Asia, some of Europe and have been working on Latin America. Although I'm new to CS.com I've relied on friends and friends of friends for lodging referals and have always repayed in kind.

Interesses

I'm an avid photographer, traveler, surfer, guitar player, dog trainer, motorcycle rider and generally have more pursuits than time.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

Any films by the Cohen Bros, Jim Jarmush, Hal Hartley, Akira Kurosawa. Kind of a jam band afficianado with music but stray into anything but country. Currently re-reading Henry Miller's Tropic of Cancer for the tenth time. Other notable authors: Herman Hesse, John Irving, Irvine Welsh, Thomas Pynchon, William Gibson.

Snow boarding in Colorado on mushrooms in three feet of freshies and having a near death experience that completely changed my life, at least until I sobered up.

Photo basics: The Bullseye
When shooting two people shoot vertically and align the top of the frame just above the head (not in the center aka 'bullseye'). A problem made worse by the advent of the digital point and shoot.
