About Me

On the search for the best chocolate chip cookie.

Hi, we're Erika and Eben. For school we study math and economics and for fun we travel, host couchsurfers, climb, cook, bike, and sail! Our house mates share a love for building things and spontaneous events. We'll never forget our time here. That is how we want to feel about the rest of our life as well.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

Mostly hosting these days. Hoping to get back into more traveling the next few years again.

Summer 2009, Erika made a fantastic trip to Europe where she got exposed to couchsurfing. She had such a great experience that we can't wait to host people here as well.

Rock climbing indoors and mostly out.

Biking, long distance and maneuvering around Boston's drivers.

Sailing! Eben sails for the MIT sailing team, Erika likes not falling in the muddy Charles river.

Traveling. We love exploring new places and meeting people, and we will go just about anywhere there are rocks or mountains.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

-Ice climbing.

-Slieve League in Ireland. Although not as famous or convenient as their sister Cliffs of Moher, they definitely earned the title, highest cliffs in Europe. Imagine walking through mist, lost with your friends, we took the trail less travelled by since the main trail was closed. We figure we'll probably have to head down soon, clouds, it's Ireland after all. A gust of wind takes the clouds away and you're looking, the ocean is 600 meters below you.

My eyes were so taken aback by the glory of the scene, I really wondered if what I was seeing was real or if someone photoshopped the ocean into my field of vision.
