Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I checked out couchsurfing a few years ago, but wasn't traveling and didn't fill out my profile. Now I am actively traveling and hoping to both save money by avoiding hotels and also meet more people and get to know local culture in a more genuine way! I am excited at the possibility of hosting, as well. I believe in making my home feel homey for others, and also like to be involved in the cleaning/general maintenance of where I'm staying, to the comfort of my host!

Music, Movies, and Books

Ach, what a difficult question! I won't be able to choose my favorite movie, I don't think. Visual art is my favorite, although it's safe to say I don't have a particularly refined taste in the sense that I enjoy even the most B rated movies.
-For music, again, I enjoy all genres to some extent! But I often turn to folk, electronic, or trancy instrumental for my various emotional music needs.
-Favorite books...... nope, can't choose. I recently have been on a mystical/fantasy kick and have read the Night Circus, Name of the Wind, Shadow of the Wind, and Mistborn. The Secret Garden and the Little Princess hold special places in my heart.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently drove from Ohio to Vancouver, BC in a van with my partner. It was one of the best experiences and I hope to spend more time living out of a van in the future.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Conversations over tea or wine or coffee. Help with dishes, sweeping, cooking, etc. Company on adventures! A movie watching buddy. Harmonies to your singing. A photoshoot! A model for your art? A walking companion. A friend. Also happy to help with meals financially if you're interested in eating together. And perhaps most helpful, I can offer you my expansive network of friends/potential housing situations all over the world! Concentrated in America primarily, but scattered everywhere.
