I'm heading to the Northern Hemisphere for my first time ever and I'm looking forward to learning about culture, history, people and places in as many UK and EU countries as I can get to over the two and a half months I'll be there.
Right now I'm all about exploring and creating great memories. I'm about to head on the longest holiday/biggest adventure of my life and I can't wait!
I'd rather travel as the mood strikes me and take every opportunity that comes up along the way than follow a prescribed tour path.
I've been working in the fashion/events industries for the past few years but will be returning to university for honours when I come back to New Zealand, continuing with some contract work to keep things interesting.
I'm pretty easygoing and enjoy anything from hanging out listening to music, talking about the big issues or the minutiae of life, sports, the outdoors, partying til the sun comes up or baking a cake.
I get along with most people and I'm looking forward to making lots of new friends while I'm travelling :)
Being as openminded as possible is the best way to get the most out of life, and making a big deal of everyday things is the best way to make every day special!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would love to surf on some friendly peoples' couches while I'm travelling around the UK and Europe, and when I return and have a house again I hope to be able to return the favour.
I've never couchsurfed but have had great recommendations from a friend.
Most things - if I'm not interested in something yet maybe I just need to learn more about it!
I particularly love food, music, books, ideas, languages and learning.
Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to list. I love live music, particularly things with a good beat or catchy melody. Favourites at the moment include MGMT, Muse, Santigold, Pendulum, and summery dub music. I've just read a Jimi Hendrix bio, a romance novel and a novel looking at 80s hollywood excess by Bret Easton Ellis. My favourite move is probably Amelie, so pretty and whimsical!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One thing!? Far too hard! Moonrises, sunrises, stadia of people jumping up and down all in time, falling into a volcano, seeing the world under the sea, counting grains of sand - amazing things happen every day!
Teach, Learn, Share
I know lots of things about lots of things and want to know lots more, but what I learn or teach will probably depend on the person I'm with at the time, I very much doubt the interchange will be the same on each occasion!
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Fiji, New Caledonia, Vanuatu
